Students’ Health
The health of each student is a priority to us. Not only as a concern for their general wellbeing but because the health of a child is an important factor in the learning process. The Primary and Secondary Schools have well-equipped health rooms which are staffed by three fully qualified nurses. They are available during school hours to administer first aid and basic nursing care to any student injured or feeling unwell. The nurses also undertake height, weight and basic visual acuity tests of each child on an annual basis. In addition to their routine nursing duties they are actively involved in all aspects of school life, including school trips, sports days and health education.Over eighty members of our teaching and administration staff are trained in First Aid and emergency resuscitation.

Students’ Security
We take the security of our school and students very seriously. As a result we regularly review our security practices, both inside and outside the school grounds and building. Whether our students are in class, on a school trip or at a sports day, we implement strict security measures to protect them at all times.
Most of the security services are outsourced to Group 4, a leading international security group, and we have regular input, assistance and feedback from the Security Officer at The British High Commission. CCTV has been installed throughout the building and the perimeter wall is of maximum height permitted by the local authorities with razor wire to prevent unauthorised entry to any part of the school.
The guards are equipped with two-way radios, metal detectors for bag searches, batons, and have a telephone at each main gate. Regular supervisory visits from Group 4 as well as regular Diplomatic Police visits are made throughout every 24 hour period. Regular fire drills are also carried out throughout the school building.
A formal written agreement has been made with the neighbouring American Embassy School that, in the event of a major security threat, we are permitted to use their campus across the road until it is safe to return to our own campus. |
