Trips & Excursions

Jim Corbett is no new name for many of us. We the students of Grade XII went to Jim Corbett National Tiger Park for our CAS trip on 14th December 2008. Being an excellent place for all nature lovers it really gave us an adventurous and soothing feeling while we were there. We felt very close to nature during our 3 days trip there. Though we couldn’t sight the tiger in spite of spending 4 hours in the main forest we could definitely see elephants, deers, wild boars, a fox and a python. Although the forest department trying to maintain the sanctuary, on a personal front we felt it needed more maintenance then what was presently done.

Apart from seeing wild life one can also have a relaxing time by enjoying the nature and the weather there. We went for a walk on a chilly early morning at around 5 a.m. We strolled Jim Corbett exploring it astonishing beauty and witnessing the rise of the sun. These moments were worth remembering.
For adventurous the people there were many other things like river crossing, trekking and night safari. We didn’t have much time to indulge in these activities but we are sure that they were a lot of fun. In spite of lack of time the school arranges for sport activities like tent pitching, free fall and repelling. There were not one entertaining but also laid a foundation for learning them in future.
This trip surely was a refreshing one and we wish it had never ended. It gave us memory and fun which we will remember for the rest of our life.
