Trips & Excursions

Jim Corbett is no new name for many of us. We, the students of Grade XII, went to Jim Corbett National Tiger Park for our CAS trip on 14th December 2008. Being an excellent place for all nature lovers, it really gave us an adventurous and soothing feeling while we were there.

We felt very close to nature during our 3-day trip there. Though we couldn’t sight the tiger despite spending 4 hours in the main forest, we definitely saw elephants, deer, wild boars, a fox, and a python. Although the forest department is trying to maintain the sanctuary, on a personal front, we felt it needed more maintenance than what was presently done.

Apart from seeing wildlife, one can also have a relaxing time by enjoying nature and the weather there. We went for a walk on a chilly early morning at around 5 a.m., strolling through Jim Corbett, exploring its astonishing beauty, and witnessing the rise of the sun. These moments were worth remembering.

For adventure enthusiasts, there were many activities like river crossing, trekking, and night safari. We didn’t have much time to indulge in these activities, but we are sure they were a lot of fun. Despite the lack of time, the school arranged sports activities like tent pitching, free fall, and rappelling. These were not only entertaining but also laid a foundation for learning them in the future.
